artist statement

I am interested in the glimpses, held, remembered, aligned inclusively. I am interested in awareness and how to acknowledge it within a visual framework. What it is like to be human and think about line and mark. about colour and time. about Egypt. about Babylon and the rivers and Iraq, now. about politics and black holes and stars and their carbon residues. about literature and its lustres. about love, before during and after. I want texture and colour but I can never stop there. I need the overlays of commentary. I need both the sensory and the cerebral. I want the glimpses I see to accumulate meaning in my time.
