I made a heap of all I could find , 2009
Kristian Pithie Gallery, Melbourne
Politics and alphabets
bury themselves
in sediment.
wars amputate names
and re-invent the maps of home.
even texts that cannot be lost,
go down.
I am collecting words
against oblivion.
tiny soul-poems,
dithyrambic gestures,
hieroglyphs and signs,
geographies,
to memorize.
Piling them up and saving them
in irresistible fragments,
almost portable,
to mark the hopes and
upheavals of our time.
Nothing is too small.
